Valvert fic rec + Valvert illustration "behind the scenes"

For the recent Sewerexchange run by the Sewerchat discord server, I did an illustration for akatonbo's awesome Valvert fic It's Empty In the Valley of Your Heart. In honor of my recent return to Dreamwidth, I did a long behind-the-scenes post detailing how I put together the illustration, if anyone's into that sort of thing! There is a bit of discussion of French garden design. The fic involves Valjean gardening to his heart's content in the afterlife—it's interesting to contemplate how his gardening ambitions might take shape over time.
